Pinnacle
Another product that we developed in association with BS Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for a client.
The Idea
To manage each unit from the main corporate office, to assure the smooth flow of the products and resources in between the units and corporate production center, to help in production analysis, and provide decision support information.
The Client
Paragon Industries Ltd. is a Rs. 100 crore-turnover company serving worldwide customers with their footwear production.
The Challenges
The Production process constitutes mixing, warming, moulding, cutting, and packing sub processes. These processes are divided among nearly 70 units some of them working under independent managements and some under Paragon Rubber Industries Ltd. The major functions of Paragon Rubber Industries Ltd. is to supply resources to these units and receive products from them and supply them to marketing division. The lack of network connection between these units and Paragon Rubber Industries Ltd. caused a great delay in the production analysis process. Also monitoring of the business was really a nightmare.
The Solution
AssistanZ resolved the problem by introducing two variations of Pinnacle.
1.	PINNACLE Retail:
It gathers the relevant information from remote local units, and also updates this information back to the central server periodically for further information processing. Retail serves all the remote working units, an application developed using Microsoft Visual Basic for front-end and MS-Access as backend.
2.	PINNACLE Corporate:
The information gathered using Pinnacle retail is processed to organized management information by PINNACLE Corporate and it serves this useful information as an internet / intranet application across all platforms. Corporate is built using latest J2EE Technology enriched with Struts Framework and having PostgreSQL as backend.
